Salary: £32,253 - £35, 676 Hours: 35 hours per week Location: flexible (Any Care Inspectorate office) Contract: permanent About us We are the national regulator and scrutiny body responsible for providing assurance and protection for people who experience care services, their families, carers and the wider public, as well as supporting delivery partners to improve the quality of care for people in Scotland. We inspect individual care services and we also work with other scrutiny bodies to inspect the social care and social work services people are experiencing in their local areas. Our hybrid working policy gives you the flexibility to mix working from home with attendance at your base office and other work locations, spending no more than 60% of your working time working from home, measured over a 4-week period. It is expected that you will work from the Dundee office once per week. Starting salary Please bear in mind that new entrants start on the grade minimum for the role. About the role Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and driving continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Transactions Officer to join our team and help shape the future of our financial operations. You’ll be part of a supportive team where your ideas and expertise will help shape how we work. We value collaboration, innovation, and professionalism—and we’re committed to helping you grow. You will: support the Transactions Manager to lead and manage transactional finance processes, including debt recovery and purchase-to-pay. support and develop team members to deliver high-quality service. identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures. collaborate across departments to ensure financial controls are maintained. About you You should be educated to SCQF level 7 or have the relevant skills and experience for this role. You can find more about SCQF Level 7 on their website here. You should have: At least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance environment Strong understanding of financial controls and integrated accounting systems Excellent Excel and Word skills, with a keen eye for detail and analysis Confident communicator who can adapt to different audiences and build positive relationships A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service. Desirable extras: Experience with Oracle financial systems. Membership of professional bodies such as the Institute of Credit Management or CIPS. Knowledge of public sector finance and debt recovery legislation.
