A global biopharmaceutical leader is looking for a high calibre scientist to join their Early Clinical Development and Translation Science department. This department provides guidance and support in integrated pharmacokinetics / pharmacodynamics, clinical development, biomarker analysis and immunogenicity. This will be a 12-month contract joining their site in Slough. Thispanymits their work to improving the lives of people living with severe neurological and immunological conditions with a strong focus on research and teamwork.
Your new role
1. Support bioanalysis & biomarker activities in the progression from research into clinic
2. Support clinical transcriptomics as a Subject-Matter Expert
3. Responsible for planning & technical oversight of Biomarker Transcriptomics activities outsourced to CROs.
4. Be aware of new and emerging techniques & approaches relevant to the transcriptomics & biomarker fields
5. Support development of biomarker assays in the laboratory
What you'll need to succeed
6. / higher academic qualification in a biological discipline
7. Good theoretical understanding of the principals of molecular biology & transcriptomic (RNA sequencing & RT-qPCR)
8. Practical experience of theplete workform for RNA sequencing experiments
9. Understanding of applying biomarker analysis to clinical studies
10. Proven practical experience in RNA extraction from a variety of biofluids
11. Desirable to have experience of working with CROs & using O-LINK for protein analysis
12. Ability to handle time effectively by juggling multiple deadlines & meeting demands
13. Advantageous of working in a pharmaceutical drug discovery and development environment
