This is an opportunity to work for a respected multidisciplinary property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Building Surveying services across the residential, commercial, and education sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Bristol office. This is a key role offering involvement in a wide variety of projects, with some additional responsibility for CDM Principal Designer duties.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and new-build projects from inception to completion
* Undertake building surveys, defect diagnosis, and condition assessments
* Prepare specifications, tender documents, and administer contracts under JCT and other standard forms
* Provide professional advice on dilapidations, party wall matters, boundary disputes, and insurance claims
* Ensure compliance with current building regulations and technical standards
* Oversee site works and liaise closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Deliver high-quality written reports and client advice
Candidate Requirements
* MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor
* Proven experience across both professional and project-based building surveying
* Strong technical knowledge of construction, defects, and contract administration
* Clear and confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
* Familiarity with CDM 2015 and willingness to support Principal Designer duties
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent is desirable but not essential
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
* Experience within a consultancy environment is preferred
* Up to £70,000
