We are looking for experienced and hands:on School Caretakers to join our team, working across various schools throughout Liverpool. Role Title: School Caretaker
Salary: GBP14.00 : GBP16.00 per hour. Depending on your experience.

The Role:
As a School Caretaker, you will be a vital part of the school community, responsible for ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well:maintained. Your hands:on approach will be essential to keeping the school environment in excellent condition. Your duties will include:
* Repairs and Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work (where qualified).
* Building Security: Being a key holder and responsible for opening and locking up the school premises, including setting and checking alarm systems.
* Health and Safety: Conducting regular health and safety checks, maintaining records, and ensuring all areas of the school are safe for students and staff.
* Grounds keeping: Maintaining the school grounds, including litter picking, clearing pathways, and basic gardening.
* General Duties: Supervising external contractors, moving furniture for events, and assisting with general cleaning and porters duties as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Hands:on Experience: You must have a strong background in building maintenance, repairs, and DIY. Experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, or electrics is highly desirable.
* School Environment: Previous experience working as a caretaker in a school or similar educational setting is essential.
* Problem:Solving: The ability to work on your own initiative, solve problems effectively, and prioritise tasks is crucial.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and external contractors.
* Physical Fitness: The role requires you to be physically fit for tasks involving lifting and manual labor.
