Overview
AX1991 Personal Assistant to support a young woman to access the community. The direct payment is for 51 hours per week, so will require 2-3 PAS to cover the hours. HU9 area.
Responsibilities
* Support with transfers from bed to wheelchair to chair, personal care and dress ready for the day, toileting, nutritional and drink preparation as required.
* Assist with putting callipers on and taking them off.
* Support the daughter by ensuring a pack-up is prepared in the morning and escort to and from school on some occasions.
* Provide social time to access the community to support the woman and her young daughter.
* Carry out some domestic tasks as needed.
* Be flexible to include evenings and weekends; hours to be discussed at interview.
Requirements / Qualities
* Trustworthy, honest, caring, reliable and able to build strong relationships based on equality and respect.
* Promote independent living; be positive, confident and very supportive.
* The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends as described.
* There is a genuine occupational requirement for a Female worker; therefore only applications from Females will be considered.
* Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check; the cost will be met by the local authority/employer.
