We work hard to support our students so that they can remain part of our school community. As a result, we are developing a provision to support those students experiencing significant behavioural challenges. We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced teacher with experience of working with students displaying challenging behaviour to lead this new provision. You will oversee the learning across the provision, deliver lessons, and provide direction and guidance to the support staff working with students in the area who will provide mentoring, guidance and support to individual students. The lead teacher will work under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, Personal Development. Mainstream teachers contribute to the teaching of lessons in both Key Stages. The lead teacher will review students’ progress and liaise with key staff, parents and other professionals accordingly. You will be: delivering a modified curriculum to students in a creative and engaging way working alongside a team of dedicated and passionate support staff promoting a positive and stimulating learning environment for pupils, encouraging them to achieve their full potential in a safe environment working to reintegrate students back into mainstream classes within the school liaising with subject leaders to ensure that curriculum provision supports progress and breadth.
