Responsibilities
* Lead and support the day‑to‑day running of the wiring team.
* Help build and develop a positive, organised and high‑performing production environment.
* Co‑ordinate activities across kitting, mechanical assembly, wire preparation, wiring and loom assembly, final assembly, inspection and testing, packing and despatch.
* Work closely with Wiring Engineering and Operations to improve workflow, build methods and production efficiency.
* Support production directly when required, including hands‑on assembly and wiring work.
* Monitor build progress and help remove production blockers quickly.
* Ensure quality standards and workmanship are maintained throughout the process.
* Help establish scalable processes and working standards as the department grows.
* Assist with training and development of operators within the team.
* Maintain high standards of organisation, housekeeping and communication.
* Support continuous improvement activities across the project.
Person Specification
Essential
* Previous experience leading or supervising within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Hands‑on attitude and willingness to support production activities directly.
* Ability to manage multiple stages of production simultaneously.
* Good problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
* Experience working within fast‑paced production environments.
Desirable
* Experience within cable assembly, wiring, electro‑mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
* IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 knowledge or experience.
* Experience working with production documentation, build packs or ERP systems.
* Understanding of inspection and testing processes.
