Communications Executive – Eastleigh
£36,000 to £37,000 per annum
We're looking for a confident, creative communicator to connect our business strategy with powerful storytelling. You'll be the go-to comms partner for one or more directorates — turning plans and priorities into campaigns, content, and conversations that drive real engagement.
As a Communications Executive you will be:
* Be the main point of contact for all comms activity within your business area — building strong relationships with leaders, managers, and teams to make sure messages land with clarity and impact.
* Lead the planning and delivery of communication strategies that support business goals, from internal updates to external campaigns.
* Offer clear, strategic advice to senior stakeholders; helping them communicate with confidence and consistency.
* Encourage great communication across the business by making it easy to do; creating toolkits, templates, guides, and training that help people self-serve where possible.
* Track and measure the impact of what you do, using insights to improve reach, tone, and engagement.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the communications team, sharing ideas, expertise, and creativity to deliver brilliant results.
* Create high-quality content; from news stories and reports to event materials, press releases, and digital updates; always written with purpose and personality.
* Make sure our messages are inclusive, accessible, and resonate with diverse audiences, whether that's customers, partners, or remote and office-based colleagues.
* Support the delivery of major campaigns, events, and launches; helping bring our brand and values to life.
* Take ownership of your work; ensuring accuracy, creativity, and alignment with our tone of voice and standards.
As a Communications Executive you will have/be:
* A strong, well-rounded comms skill set, ideally spanning media, stakeholder, customer, and internal communications.
* A natural relationship-builder who's comfortable working with everyone from senior leaders to creative teams.
* The ability to translate complex business priorities into simple, engaging communication strategies.
* Confidence to influence, challenge, and advise with credibility.
* Great time management; juggling multiple priorities without losing focus or creativity.
* A proactive, positive mindset and passion for finding smart, creative solutions.
* Experience using data and insights to shape and measure communications success.
* A professional qualification in communications or a related field.
* Understanding of audience insight tools and how to connect strategy, creativity, and business impact.
* A values-driven approach, you live the brand, not just talk about it.
