Rooted in the town’s rich heritage and unique character, Coleraine BID is committed to delivering positive, lasting change for the local economy and wider community.

Our mission is to create a thriving, welcoming town centre through targeted initiatives in placemaking, marketing, safety, and business support. Guided by a 5-year business plan, we deliver creative programmes that celebrate local identity, drive footfall, and strengthen connections between businesses, residents, and visitors.

The Coleraine BID Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Coleraine Business Improvement District (CBID). The role will focus on delivering CBID’S strategic priorities, communications plan, stakeholder engagement and event delivery whilst ensuring the CBID remains a strong voice for local businesses. The manager will also oversee the CBID’S, financial management, governance compliance and operational efficiency

The Coleraine BID Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Coleraine Business Improvement District (CBID). The role will focus on delivering CBID’S strategic priorities, communications plan, stakeholder engagement and event delivery whilst ensuring the CBID remains a strong voice for local businesses. The manager will also oversee the CBID’S, financial management, governance compliance and operational efficiency


About the role:
1. Circa £40,000 per annum
2. 40 hours a week
3. May require additional hours sufficient to meet the needs of the role, including evenings and weekends.
4. Holidays: 32 days
Key Responsibilities
5. Ensure effective day-to-day management of the CBID, delivering on agreed priorities.
6. Implement streamlined levy billing and collection processes.
7. Maintain strong governance, ensuring transparency and compliance with BID regulations.
8. Report regularly to the Board on performance, financials, and key issues.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with levy payers, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
10. Act as the key spokesperson for the CBID, representing business interests at local and regional levels.
11. Develop, maintain, and execute a communications and social media strategy to support the events programme, engage CBID levy payers and the public.
12. Work closely with the board, levy payers and key stakeholders to ensure that the projects and events undertaken support the business plan and meets the needs of CBID.
13. Establish and agree event KPIS with the Board to ensure that activities deliver on experience, footfall generation and budget.
14. Deliver the current business plan addressing the challenges and opportunities that exist in Coleraine town centre.
Required Skills & Experience:
15. Proven leadership experience in business, town centre management, economic development, or BID management.
16. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
17. Experience in financial and budget management.
18. Project planning and delivery.
19. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
20. Strong IT, organisational and administrative skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
21. Marketing, PR, or event management experience
22. Experience in working with local authorities, grant applications and government funding schemes
23. 3rd level qualification in a business, finance or related area
