We’re now looking for an Academy Operations & Experience Manager to lead the day-to-day facilities, operations and on-site experience of our Midlands Academy Super Hub and seven satellite academy sites across the UK. This is a highly visible role at the heart of our learning operation, with significant responsibility for facilities management, ensuring our academies are safe, compliant, welcoming and fully equipped to support colleagues at every stage of their development. About the Role As Academy Operations & Experience Manager, you’ll act as the front of house and facilities lead for the Midlands Academy. You’ll be responsible for the effective management of academy buildings, learning spaces, technology and onsite services, creating a seamless and professional experience for colleagues, partners, suppliers and senior leaders alike. You’ll oversee daily operations, manage facilities and estates suppliers, support learning delivery and large-scale events, and ensure all academy environments are operationally ready, well maintained and compliant at all times. You’ll also host senior leaders and VIP visitors, acting as a trusted partner to ensure every visit and event runs smoothly, safely and to a high professional standard. What You’ll Be Doing • Acting as the single point of accountability for academy facilities and operations, supporting learning delivery and large-scale events • Managing day-to-day facilities management and onsite operations across the Midlands Academy Super Hub and seven satellite academy sites • Ensuring academy buildings, training rooms, breakout areas and communal spaces are safe, compliant, clean, well maintained and fit for purpose • Building strong working relationships with Estates, IT, Security, Health & Safety and Operations to ensure training environments are always ready for use • Managing service providers including cleaning, security, catering, AV, room setup and specialist learning suppliers • Leading the coordination of space planning, room configuration and logistics to support learning programmes and events • Supporting and hosting VIP visits, senior leaders and external customers, ensuring facilities and services meet high standards • Leading technology, facilities and estate improvement projects that enhance the learner and visitor experience • Proactively identifying risks, resolving operational issues and driving continuous improvement across academy facilities • Reviewing learner and stakeholder feedback to improve courses, facilities, and overall academy experience • Ensuring large-scale events are delivered safely, compliantly and smoothly, in line with health, safety and estate standards What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who takes pride in operational excellence, enjoys variety, and can confidently manage facilities, suppliers and stakeholder expectations in a fast-moving environment.
