Role Description
Due to increasing workload with our Public Sector client we are looking to recruit either a Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician, to provide supporting services to their well established multi-disciplinary practice. through to delivery on site therefore a range of design and site-based experience would be a bonus. Applications are welcomed from candidates who have significant experience working as an Architect or Architectural Technologist/Technician and wish to step up to a more senior role. The candidate should be able to demonstrate at least 5 years post qualification practical experience.
Responsibilities include designing and delivering a variety of projects, therefore prior exposure to a wide range of project types including Office, Leisure, Education and Housing would be advantageous and should be demonstrable through a portfolio.
This post is client facing therefore good communication skills and experience of presenting is essential.
An understanding of BIM is required, with Revit and AutoCAD being the main software in use
WORK PATTERN : 37 hours per week, flexible working available. This is a hybrid role with a mixture of office based and agile working (generally 2-3 days in the office) based in Beverley East Yorkshire.
Qualifications
Qualified to RIBA Part 3 or hold a degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a HNC /HND in an appropriate Architectural / Construction / Building discipline.
Good architectural experience with clear evidence of achievements. Experience and ability to work across all RIBA Plan of Work stages.
Design skills and technical understanding including standards, codes of practice, regulations and industry best practice.
In depth knowledge of current CDM Regulations, Building Regulations and Planning practices.
Contract procedures.
Ability to convey design solutions/proposals to all stakeholders and reach an understanding of requirements and proposals and portray elicit understanding.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to produce clear and concise reports.
Ability to demonstrate design skills and analytical judgement and creativity to deal with complex and varied situations.
Experience of undertaking the role of Principal Designer (CDM Regs and/or Building Regs).
Experience of undertaking the role of Lead Designer on complex projects with values of £2-£5m (or higher).
Experience of working with projects in the BIM environment. Able to design using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD with clear demonstrable evidence.
