About the role
We’re looking ahead and building a talent pool of future Customer Service Supervisors at Derby Station.
As a Customer Service Supervisor, you’ll lead and support the station team, making sure customers receive the very best service and that our station runs safely, smoothly, and to the highest standards. From rostering and briefings to ensuring compliance with company processes, you’ll be at the heart of the action in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead day-to-day activities, ensuring the station is safe, clean, and presentable.
2. Carry out team briefings and oversee shift planning and rostering.
3. Monitor and support compliance with company policies and safety standards.
4. Report any accidents, incidents, or operational issues.
5. Authorise staff timesheets.
6. Work closely with Network Rail and key stakeholders every day.
About you
You’ll be passionate about people and customer service, with the confidence to lead a team in a busy environment. You’ll bring energy, positivity, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
7. Previous supervisory or people management experience is essential.
8. Railway experience is desirable but not essential.
9. Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Full safety-critical training will be provided. Please note that offers are subject to passing a safety-critical medical assessment, including drugs and alcohol screening and a colour vision test.
