Job Overview
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding Therapeutic Team covering schools in Deal, Kent. The role is part‑time, two days per week during term time, working across two school sites with KS1‑KS4 children in a specialist SEN/SEMH environment. The position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop and use your therapeutic knowledge and experience to support colleagues and deliver positive outcomes for young people in our independent schools.
Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues.
* Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon.
* Be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload.
* Develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
* Develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
* Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities.
* Participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group.
Qualifications & Experience
* HCPC registered.
* BSc in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
* Experience working with children and young people or relevant transferable skills.
* Desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice.
* Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
* Well‑developed communication skills, oral and written.
* Ability to work autonomously with support from individual and peer supervision.
* Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values.
* Sound understanding of Microsoft Office components including Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
* Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
