SEN Teaching Assistant – Maidenhead

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Maidenhead. You’ll be part of a committed team who work together to support pupils with autism (ASC).
About The Role:
* Provide close support to children with autism
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning activities
* Support pupils in developing their academic, emotional, and social skills
* Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can learn and thrive
* Monitor and report on pupil progress to help shape their individual education plans
* Managing behaviour effectively using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
About The School:
* Moved into their purpose-built building in March 2021
* The site is located in Maidenhead
* The school is centred around the individual pupil, meaning that each element of the school is designed with an understanding of how individual children with autism learn best
* The curriculum has a focus on core deficits for our pupils and preparation for adulthood.
* Believe all teachers in a pupil’s life need to work in close partnership, delivering outstanding teaching to enable each child to achieve their best possible outcomes
* Holds 112 pupils ages 4-16.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience supporting children with autism (school-based experience preferred)
* Demonstrates empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
* Is enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to helping children reach their full potential
* Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent), although this is desirable not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
