Role Purpose

The role is to be the technical coordination point for daily maintenance activities, including Specialist Subcontractors, Suppliers, and support teams. The role of authorized person for Electrical & Mechanical Systems is a key responsibility.


Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of technical engineers, including performance reviews, mentoring, and leave management.
2. Operate all M&E systems efficiently, including HV Electrical/Mechanical isolations/operations, with regard to business risk and energy use. Provide technical reports and improvement recommendations.
3. Ensure work conducted by Specialist Subcontractors complies with approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and other documentation.
4. Inspect and sign off on subcontractor work, communicate quality assessments to the Technical Manager.
5. Maintain minimum staffing levels.
6. Close reactive work orders within SLAs, record critical spares/stock used.
7. Attend team and client meetings as required.
8. Complete shift handover reports, noting significant events.
9. Promote QHSE activities, conduct toolbox talks.
10. Manage areas under CBRE control, ensuring standards are met.
11. Evaluate and escalate risks, assess impacts, and suggest mitigations.
12. Manage planned maintenance tasks, ensure timely completion.
13. Follow and improve engineering policies and procedures.
14. Escalate issues affecting site availability, H&S, and security.
15. Respond effectively to helpdesk, client, and management queries.
16. Provide quotations for critical spares and parts.
17. Undertake tasks as assigned based on experience and competencies.
18. Coordinate training plans with management.
19. Perform electrical switching within Change Control and authorization limits.
20. Lead shift training, operate critical plants as authorized.
21. Conduct compliance checks periodically.
