Permanent 22.5 hours available with the days Monday, Thursday & Friday. Part‑time / job share would be considered.
Job Summary
This is an opportunity to join the Women’s & Children’s Collaborative, which provides services throughout Cumbria in a number of varied clinical settings. The service aims to provide a high‑quality, locally delivered, patient‑focused service. This role will be crucial to the efficient day‑to‑day delivery of the Gynaecology service and will provide high‑standard administrative support to the clinical team, liaising with other departments, patients, NHS Trusts and external agencies.
Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for patients – a professional, patient‑focused approach is key at all times.
* Provide a high standard of administration support to the clinical team, liaising with other departments, patients, NHS Trusts and external agencies.
* Produce professional letters and documents at an average typing speed of 50–60 words per minute, using recent or relevant experience in a similar role.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all equality issues and medical terminology where relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
* GCSE in English language or equivalent.
* RSA 2 word processing or equivalent.
* Use of a computer – essential.
* Audio typing, clerical or office‑based work – desirable.
* Medical terminology, Microsoft Office – desirable.
Skills
* Good communication skills.
* Able to work as part of a team.
* Able to use initiative appropriately.
* Able to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
* Ability to maintain high standards of work.

Salary & Conditions
Band 2 – £24,465 a year, pro rata.
Contract: Permanent.
Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time, Job share.
