Business Development Manager – Life Sciences (UK, Field-Based)
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive BDM with a true hunter mentality who can drive new business across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and API sectors. You should be comfortable selling technical solutions, understanding GMP environments, and managing both new and existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share
* Identify, target, and win new business opportunities
* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
* Maintain and grow existing client relationships
* Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting
* Stay up to date with industry trends and competitors
* Confidently promote technical product and service offerings
Ideal Profile
* 5+ years’ experience in life sciences technical sales (ideally compliance/validation)
* Strong network within pharma/biotech
* Solution-based selling mindset (value > features)
* Able to grasp complex technical concepts
* Self-driven, organised, and collaborative
