PMO Lead
* Location: Ipswich - 4 days in the office, 1 day remote.
* Job Type: Full-time
* Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
You will be a PMO Lead currently who can join my client, ensuring that business change within the organisation and on behalf of their clients is delivered to meet time, cost, and quality requirements. This senior role involves managing the PMO function and project management team, reporting to the Head of Change. The PMO Lead will be instrumental in developing and evolving the project management framework and PMO activity and structure.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and shape the PMO function within this medium size business. This is a team of PMO Analysts and Project Managers, with multiple projects of varying length and value.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Accountable for the delivery of business change projects, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisation and its clients.
* Capture, define, and manage requirements through to delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
* Adhere to and enforce project management standards and processes.
* Develop business cases for proposed changes and ensure impact assessments are completed for new projects.
* Lead the delivery process from discovery through to warranty, including requirements capture, design, build, test, and deployment.
* Liaise with internal and external suppliers for successful change delivery.
* Manage the PMO and project management teams, establishing and evolving PMO standards and methods.
* Work with the Head of Change to adapt processes to best and good practice in the project management and change space.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven project management experience in a delivery environment.
* Recent team management and coaching experience.
* Knowledge of PMO frameworks, competencies, and governance.
* Experience with PMO reporting and monitoring.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and with third parties.
* Commercial awareness with financial management understanding.
* Project Management qualifications - Prince 2 or industry-standard equivalent.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Project and Office.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
