My Plc client, with its flagship HO based in Nantwich, Cheshire, is the UK market leader in its specialist Distribution/Logistics sector markets. A technically strong qualified Group Accounting Manager is required within the Central Finance Team on an initial 12-month fixed term Contract basis to cover for maternity leave. Strong prospects of this initial Contract role turning into a longer term Perm career opportunity if desired by both parties. My client seeks a high calibre ACA/ACCA with previous Plc accounting experience, gained either within Practice and/or in Industry/Commerce. You will need to be available to start by January/February 2026. This will be a hybrid role with 3 days per week operating at the Nantwich Group HO within the Central Finance Team with the other 2 days on a flexible WFH basis. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, key duties/responsibilities will include: Head up a small qualified Group Accounts team. Production of consolidated month end Management Accounts. Input into compilation of the year end Plc Statutory Accounts Input into Group Budgeting & Forecasting Cashflow management. Support to the Tax team re Tax Computations. Proactive input to ongoing Financial Systems improvement initiatives and other financial projects. Candidate profile: Qualified ACA/ACCA. Plc Accounting/Reporting experience, gained in either Practice and/or Industry. Technically sound with strong Systems/Excel skills. Confident and assured with good interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively at all levels across the Organisation. Critically, available by January/February 2026, to start either in the New Year or by beginning of March latest. Live within reasonable commutable driving range to be able to be based for 3 days per week at the Nantwich HO. Package: £75k-£85k PAYE on client payroll.
