Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Southampton
Reports to: Finance Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key part in keeping our accounts running smoothly, focusing on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.

What you will do:
You will work alongside a collaborative, high-energy team to keep financial records accurate and up to date, including:
* Ensure accurate and timely issue of sales invoices and follow up on outstanding balances (Accounts Receivable)
* Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and ensure timely payment runs (Accounts Payable)
* Engage with suppliers and resolve queries
* Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist the Finance Manager with month-end procedures and reporting
* Support with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as needed
* Build relationships with colleagues across the business, acting as a friendly point of contact for finance queries.
What we are looking for:
* Ideally studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, AAT, ACCA) or previous experience in similar role, passion and positive attitude are just as important.
* Organised, detail-focused, and eager to learn
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel and comfortable with accounting software (no worries, we will train you)
* Good communicator who enjoys being part of a team.
