We have an opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer to join the Engineering team based in Grantham, Lincolnshire on a permanent basis. In this role you will be working on diverse and challenging projects within our Fall Protection and Engineering departments, collaborating with on-site technicians to develop and maintain access solutions across the UK skyline. You will join a team of Design Engineers working from our Grantham office but will also be required to work on site occasionally, in our own manufacturing facility and the facilities of our suppliers. You will receive ongoing personal development under our programme of continuous education (including support towards Chartership). Your benefits package comprises: Annual Salary of £28,000 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) Enhanced Contributory Pension Scheme Private Health Care with dental and optical cover Company Sick Pay Employee Assistance Programme Your key responsibilities: Carrying out Fall Protection System Design (including generating technical drawings) in line with current British Standards and regulations. Carrying out site-based reviews of existing Fall Protection Systems. You will take control of individual projects and see them through the design process to completion. Verifying structural integrity of designed components. Develop and maintain compliant inspection regimes for existing and new installations. Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and customers when necessary. Preparing detailed technical reports in line with requirements from current British Standards. Maintaining and updating existing library of 2D drawings/technical data. Liaising with architects and design/project managers and providing them with necessary information. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience: Qualification requirements Bachelors Degree in structural or mechanical engineering (or similar) At least one work placement experience (preferably in construction/engineering) Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD LT and SolidWorks preferred) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
