Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Wolverhampton

Prospero Teaching are a specialist SEND school in Wolverhampton who provide education and care for pupils aged 7-18 with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). While our designation is MLD, the majority of pupils also present with a range of additional needs including autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and some behavioural challenges.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. You'll play a vital role in supporting our pupils to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
* Helping to create a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom environment
* Encouraging the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
* Implementing strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs)
* Working collaboratively with the wider staff team and external professionals
What We're Looking For:
* Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and communication needs
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent)
* A minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK school
