Job description
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach to deliver high-quality Physical Education (PE) lessons and afterschool sports clubs for primary school pupils. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching, a commitment to promoting physical fitness, and a passion for inspiring young people to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
* deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum and school objectives. (curriculums provided)
* Lead a variety of afterschool sports clubs (e.g., football, netball, athletics, multi-sports) for pupils of varying ages and abilities.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students to participate and enjoy physical activity.
* Identify and support pupils with different skill levels, including those with additional needs.
* Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
* Maintain a safe and structured environment, ensuring the proper use and storage of sports equipment.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
* Assist in organizing school sports events, inter-school competitions, and sports days.
* Maintain open and positive communication with teachers, school staff, and parents/carers.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* qualification in Sports Coaching or Physical Education.
* Experience delivering PE or sports coaching to children in school or club settings.
* Good knowledge of a variety of sports and physical activities.
* Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
* Clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable NOT ESSENTIAL:
* First Aid qualification.
* Safeguarding training.
* Experience working in educational settings or with children aged 5–16.

* A valid and current DBS or be willing to apply for one through our agency
