Job Title: SAR Cost Controller \n\nLocation: Manchester \n\nContract: 9 Months / hybrid 2 days onsite \n\nHours: 37.5 hours per week\n\nRates: £33.50 p/h\n\nJob Description\n\nSRG are looking for a SAR cost controller for a leading pharmaceutical company based in Manchester. The successful candidate for this role will sit in the Financial support & Process management for SAR related functions.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities \n\nFinancial support Be the Finance Business Partner and provide financial advice to Department Lead \n\nUnderstanding the cost drivers of Cost Centres / Department and provide insight to the non-finance members\nBe responsible for financial advice and support to decision making advise on costs, consulting spending, FTEs, planning and reporting\nUnderstand financial opportunities and risk\nParticipate in review during Outlook and Target planning cycles\nPropose process improvements & lead improvement initiatives implementation \n\nProcess Management\nEnsure timeliness and correctness of month end close activities for the Functions (accruals, reclassifications, allocation, FTE assignments, …)\nReview and comments deltas and overall results to finance and non-finance members\nPlan costs and FTEs at cost centre level during Outlook and Budget cycles\nIn charge of Capex controlling activities (depending on the function needs) & be the main point of contact for senior management for supporting new business case setting up\nAnalyse financial information for errors and trends\nAssist with year-end and internal audits\nSupport M&A and divestment projects as needed\nSupport projects by setting and controlling budgets, tracking spend, capitalization initiation and ensuring complianceExperience and Qualifications\n\nBachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance or related field.\n5-10 years industry experience.\nAnalytical skills\nInterpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively to explain financial concepts to non-finance people.\nAttention to detail, organizational, planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent Microsoft Excel skills, and general computer skills particularly with accounting systems (SAP preferred) and reporting (BW).\nExperience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI preferred).\nGood understanding of project management.Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
