Serve Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Fakenham, seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team.

This is a hands-on position focused on the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble, fit, and test mechanical components and machinery
* Interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams
* Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
* Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards
* Support machinery builds and assist with occasional installation work
Requirements:
* Proven experience in mechanical fitting or machinery assembly
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. bearings, moving parts)
* Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, xsngvjr or similar) desirable
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits:
* Up to £33,500 per annum
* Overtime and bonus opportunities
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm), with overtime available
