Job description Job Summary Staffpower Group are delighted to be working with our client who are looking to expand their Quality team. The quality inspector will support the quality department on goods inward and final product inspection to ensure quality requirements are fulfilled. You will be required to ensure all the inspection work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements. Responsibilities Organise/undertake the inspection of goods in and populate reports in line with received condition. Undertake inspection of product, generation of quality reports and approve release to despatch. Issue internal Non-Conformance Reports where necessary. Report and deploy a policy of continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Ensure all measuring and test equipment are operational and ensure the required maintenance is carried out. Calibrate plant measuring and test equipment, both internally and by external vendor. Perform NDT Inspections on products when required. Undertake stage and 1st off inspections where required. Participate in department 5s program. Fitting duties as required - training will be provided. Any other ad-hoc duties as required. Experience Qualified in an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) Competent with the use of external and internal micrometres is essential. Previous experience is Non-Destructive testing, ultrasonic and dye penetrant examinations is preferred. Previous experience with operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is essential. Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications. Motivated and conscientious individual with a methodical and systematic approach Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
