About the Candidate
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Programme Lead and Lecturer of Education and Early Years to join our ambitious sixth form college. The successful candidate will work in a thriving team, which currently delivers a T Level Education and Early Years and Level 2 and 3 Health related courses. The successful candidate will need to be organised, innovative, a real team player and have the drive to further grow our links with key employers in the Education and Early Years sector. We would welcome applications from candidates with vocationally relevant industry experience in this sector.
Role Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver high quality, sequenced learning through career focused schemes of learning.
* Provide an excellent experience to students through exemplary learning, teaching and standards of assessment.
* Teach students to high standards using appropriate and varied student‑centred approaches, embracing learning technologies to enhance the student experience.
* Actively engage in reflective practice and contribute to the wider professional development programme.
* Liaise effectively with the wider support team to ensure appropriate and high‑quality academic support is provided as required.
* Participate in college recruitment and marketing events where required.
Qualifications
* Level 5 Diploma in Education and training or equivalent, or commitment to complete within the first two years.
* Minimum Degree level qualification in industry specific subject (Education, Children and Early Years).
* Level 3 Assessor qualification, or commitment to complete.
* Level 2 English and maths.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience of taking ownership of a study programme.
* Experience of planning and delivery of inclusive learning sessions.
* Experience of keeping records of student progress against achievements.
