About HCA Healthcare

HCA Healthcare UK is renowned for delivering first‑class private hospital care and for its expertise in managing complex medical cases. Beyond our hospitals, we are also a well‑established, nationwide leader in Primary Care and Corporate Healthcare services, bringing high‑quality, personalised care directly into the workplace. Our clinical and non‑clinical teams are embedded within some of the UK’s most prestigious organisations, including global banks, insurers, and professional services firms. This ensures their employees have seamless access to exceptional healthcare support, tailored to the demands of their professional environments.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Advocacy Nurse Specialist to join our team working at a high‑profile client site located in The City near Chancery Lane. You will work as part of a small, dynamic team to provide employees and eligible family members with high quality, confidential medical advocacy support within a non‑treating case management role. You will support individuals in the United Kingdom, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and will be part of a wider global advocacy team.

What You Will Do

* Consult mainly remotely, and at times in person, with eligible employees and family members to provide confidential medical advocacy advice and case management support in conjunction with the assigned Corporate Physician.
* Support and empower patients, coordinate the delivery of required services, and liaise with healthcare providers to expedite access to quality care with the aim of optimising medical treatment and outcomes for individuals with acute, serious or complex health issues.
* Research and provide appropriate resources and health information, and assist individuals with navigating the healthcare system, both NHS and private.
* With appropriate patient consent, work closely with the wider onsite medical team and global advocacy teams to provide seamless integration of care both locally and globally.
* Ensure accurate medical records are maintained and input information into the bespoke electronic patient records system.
* Maintain regular contact and follow up of patient case load, prioritising as needed.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development of the service by identifying gaps and areas for improvement, as well as helping to broaden our network of providers and raise awareness of the service within the firm.

What You Will Bring

* Adult Registered Nurse with substantial post registration experience at band 6 or above.
* Experience within a corporate setting and/or case management role, desirable but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
* A flexible and adaptable team player essential.
* Self‑motivated with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Computer literacy essential.
* Applicants must demonstrate a proactive and compassionate approach to patient care – showing initiative, diligence, and a commitment to supporting individuals beyond standard expectations to ensure they receive timely, appropriate, and high‑quality healthcare.

Benefits

* 25 days holiday each year (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, with option to buy or sell leave to suit you.
* Private Healthcare Insurance for treatment at our leading hospitals.
* Private pension contribution which increases with length of service.
* Season Ticket Loan and Cycle to Work scheme.
* Group Life Assurance from day one.
* Critical illness cover.
* Enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay.
* Corporate staff discount for all facilities including Maternity packages at The Portland.
* Comprehensive range of flexible health, protection and lifestyle benefits to suit you.
* Discounts with over 800 major retailers.

Culture And Values

* Unique and individual – we recognise and value everyone as unique and individual.
* Kindness and compassion – we treat people with kindness and compassion.
* Honesty, integrity and fairness – we act with absolute honesty, integrity and fairness.
* Loyalty, respect and dignity – we trust and treat one another as valued members of the HCA UK family with loyalty, respect and dignity.

Reasonable Adjustments

We believe everyone should feel comfortable to bring their full self to work and be afforded the same opportunities. As a Disability Confident committed organisation, we’re happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to suit your needs as well as offer reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process, and in the workplace, to anyone that needs them.
