Senior Residential Support Worker – Atlas Children's Homes (Banham, Norfolk)

* £27,000 – £29,500, plus £50 per sleep-in

What You'll Do
* Lead and coordinate shifts (days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, on-call)
* Mentor and motivate the care team; provide reflective feedback and guidance
* Deliver trauma-informed care and build trusting relationships with young people
* Administer and oversee medication safely and accurately
* Monitor safeguarding, complete incident reports, respond to risk in real time
* Keep the home safe, clean, and homely; manage petty cash and daily records
* Help with rota planning and contribute to team meetings and supervisions
* Act as Key Worker; write and review care plans, champion each child's voice
* Work closely with external professionals and families
* Tackle any reasonable task needed to keep the home running smoothly
Person Profile – What We're Looking For
Essential
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willing to complete within 2 years)
* At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare, including work with EBD/trauma
* Confident leading shifts and supporting staff
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and clear professional boundaries
* Excellent communication, report writing, and record-keeping skills
* Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, child-focused, and reflective
* Full UK driving licence; willing to work shifts, weekends, sleep-ins
Desirable
* Working towards (or holding) the Level 5 Leadership & Management Diploma
* Previous senior / shift-lead experience in a children's home
* Familiarity with Children's Homes Regs 2015, Ofsted framework, and PACE/Attachment approaches
* Experience writing care plans, risk assessments, or mentoring colleagues
