Adult Education Teacher (Part-Time)
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay: £19.57 per hour
Hours: Thursdays & Fridays – 8:30am to 3:30pm only
Contract: Part-Time
About the Role We are looking for a motivated and engaging Adult Education Teacher to deliver high-quality learning sessions to adult learners in a supportive classroom environment.
You will plan and deliver structured lessons, assess learners’ progress, and support individuals to develop confidence, skills and progression opportunities. The role focuses on positive engagement, participation and achievement for adult students.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who wants a consistent part-time teaching role that fits around other work or commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for adult learners
Prepare teaching resources and learning materials
Carry out learner assessments and track progress
Provide feedback and support to help students achieve their goals
Complete registers and required documentation
Promote attendance, punctuality and a positive learning environment
Provide guidance and progression advice to learners
Adult Teacher JD&PS - v1 March … Requirements
Teaching qualification (Level 5 or above – PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS or equivalent)
Experience teaching adults or post-16 learners
Good communication and classroom management skills
Ability to plan structured sessions and monitor learner progress
GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
Comfortable using basic IT systems for teaching and admin

Experience in further education, community learning or employability training
Experience supporting learners with different abilities or additional needs
Assessors Award (A1/CAVA) or working towards What You’ll Get
£19.57 per hour
