Turbelles Performing Arts are seeking a highly skilled hip hop tutor/choreographer to teach students aged 3 to 17.
The successful candidate will need to be available to teach on Saturday afternoons from 12.45pm until 2.45. The perfect candidate may be offered additional work which will include delivering additional classes on Saturdays and leading dance workshops within schools.
This role will require the individual to teach independently, therefore we require a teacher who works well within a team as well as has great leadership skills.
We are looking for a professional, motivated tutor with a friendly personality who has the ability to help all students reach their full potential.
This vacancy is not suitable for individuals who are frequently auditioning.
A valid enhanced DBS is requried for this position. Should the candidate not have this, we can apply on your behalf.
Skills Required;
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach and interact with students of all ages
- Ability to effectively educate and engage students of different ages and learning abilities
- Strong knowledge in the subjects being tutored
- Patience, empathy and the ability to build rapport with students
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in the required dance style
- Ability to demonstrate dance techniques and movements with clarity and precision
- Creativity in choreographing routines that showcase dancers' abilities
- Strong organisational skills to plan lessons, rehearsals, and performances effectively
Duties;
- Plan and deliver lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans that ensure the progression of students
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their dance skills
- Choreograph and stage routines for performances and competitions
- Organise and lead rehearsals to ensure dancers are prepared for upcoming performances
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
