Clinical Support Worker - MDU

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical support worker to join the Medical Day Unit.
The post holder must be flexible, dynamic and have the ability to organize and prioritize own workload.
You will be familiar with, and work to, the protocols and polices of the Trust, paying particular attention to infection control, equality and diversity and privacy and dignity.
Main duties of the job
Duties include, but are not limited to ;
* Venepuncture
* Cannulation
* ECG recording
* Supporting with booking patients for future appointments
* Maintain a high standard of record keeping ensuring all entries are accurate and legible
The role requires close liaison with other disciplines and the provision of a courteous, reliable and quality service to patient's relatives and carers, healthcare professionals and all wards and departments across the Trust.

Person Specification
* Good standard of General Education to GCSE level or equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or NHS accredited Care Certificate
* Able to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy
* Evidence of practical training or education in a care setting.
* Venepuncture, ECG and cannulation skills
* Practical skills in providing essential aspects of care.
* Extended IT skills including ICs, ICE, Web V (training will be provided)
