Role Summary
You will be responsible for managing and driving a significant group of Product Categories for the business. This will involve:
1. Being the voice of one of the major product categories and product portfolios for Mira Showers
2. Manage the Portfolio to target opportunities for share gain, category growth and margin enhancement.
3. Own a clear New Product Strategy that maximizes growth and alignment to the strategic plan.
4. As a senior member of the Marketing Team, contribute to the engagement and development of the wider Marketing Team as well as strategic initiatives outside of specific category ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
* P&L ownership of category with a focus on market growth and delivering commercial aspirations.
* Understanding of key category competitors, customers, and market drivers.
* Gathering and interpreting insights to understand market changes and provide recommendations.
* Supporting the Commercial and Operational sides of the business with product expertise.
Category Strategy:
* Developing a clear vision for the Category with a 5-year roadmap.
* Collaborating to deliver an innovative new product pipeline aligned with the strategic plan.
* Managing new product launches and withdrawals effectively.
Wider Team Initiatives:
* Supporting team engagement and wellbeing through mentoring and training.
* Contributing to business processes such as reviews, analysis, and strategic planning.
* Engaging with other business functions to align on category vision.
Skills/Requirements
* 5+ years in a Marketing role with financial targets, preferably with P&L or category responsibility.
* Marketing qualification preferred.
* Knowledge of marketing mix elements including product, channel, pricing, and promotion.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to build business cases.
* Strategic, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage high-pressure projects with cross-functional teams.
* Deep knowledge of product development and sourcing processes.
