Allied Universal are now recruiting for an exciting and challenging Security Officer for a prestigious Corporate Contract in the City of Gateshead. This opportunity is to work with a leading global payment processing provider, which will allow you to grow and develop in your Security career.
To be considered, you must hold a valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence and have over one year of experience in Security. The successful candidate will also need to pass the client background screening, which will require a 10‑year checkable employment and educational history.
Contract Information:
* Pay rate: £13.58 per hour
* Hours per week: 42 hours
* Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, nights only
* SIA licences: Door Supervisor & Security Guarding
Responsibilities:
* Reception duties including providing professional security provision.
* Provide excellent customer service, meet and greet staff and visitors into reception.
* Review and manage all visitors and guests who attend site and ensure their experience is always a pleasure.
* Conduct comprehensive patrols and maintain a visible presence around the site.
* Deal with situations and incidents calmly, confidently, and professionally.
* Be aware of current AI.s, SOP's and H&S documentation in line with Client and AUS.
* Escalate and relay any emergencies and incidents to line manager.
* Complete accurate reports of incidents in line with SOP.
* Build strong relationships with onsite Facilities Team.
* Perform various admin tasks at direction of site supervisor.
* Report any H&S issues found to the GSOC.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
* Over one year of experience in security.
* Programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access to the extent required.
* Knowledge of access control and CCTV systems.
* Professional communication skills and high level of written and spoken English.
* Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
* Pristine personal appearance and hygiene.
* Integrity and respect for colleagues.
* Excellent time‑keeping and personal organisation.
* Ability to provide first‑class quality customer service.
