Beechvale Stud is a small, family‑run equine pinhooking operation. The stud keeps a limited string, capping intake at just four to five foals a season. Working with a small string allows allows for stringent selection, high quality daily care, and steady, gentle handling from the very first day—cornerstones of the yard’s high standards.
About the position
You will work alongside with Beechvale’s owners, who remain fully hands-on with every horse in their care. This arrangement offers the successful candidate a valuable insight into the daily running of a profitable pinhooking yard.
Under the owners’ guidance, your daily duties will include:
– Mucking out stables each morning
– Removing rugs, giving a quick groom and fitting boots for exercise
– Exercising the horses via hand-walking or lunging yearlings (no ridden work)
– Cooling off, brushing down and re-rugging
– General yard duties — sweeping, paddock checks, feeding and watering, etc.

– Typical shift: Start 07:30–08:00; finish roughly four hours later. We can adjust this start time for the right candidate.
