Exciting new opportuinity tojoin theFamily Help Team as adedicated and experienced Social Worker in Ilford.In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, relationship-based interventions to support children, young people, and families in achieving positive outcomes. Working within a dynamic team, you will focus on early intervention and prevention, addressing complex needs while promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide timely and effective assessments of children and families, in line with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
* Develop and implement child-centred, outcome-focused plans to meet identified needs, reducing risks and building family resilience.
* Build meaningful and professional relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions.
* Undertake direct work with children and young people to ensure their voices are heard and incorporated into plans and decisions.
* Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and multi-agency forums to share expertise and contribute to collaborative solutions.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all cases, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational standards.
* Deliver interventions that are informed by evidence-based practices, utilising frameworks such as Signs of Safety and systemic approaches.
* Support families in accessing community-based resources and services to address needs and improve outcome.

What We’re Looking For:

* Qualifications: A recognised social work qualification (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
* Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in children’s social care, particularly within a safeguarding or assessment context. Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is highly desirable.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other statutory guidance related to safeguarding and child welfare.
* Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multi-agency professionals. Strong report-writing abilities are essential.
* Empathy: A compassionate and child-centred approach, with a commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of vulnerable children and families.
* Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, building positive relationships with colleagues and partner agencies.
* Technology: Proficient in using electronic case management systems and other IT tools for maintaining records and reporting.
