As Credit Controller you will contribute to the profitability of the business by taking responsibility for the company's accounts receivable function, ensuring that all records are accurate and outstanding payments are recovered quickly.
You will be responsible for:
* Daily sales invoicing; ensuring that invoices are correct and correspond with dispatched goods.
* Ensuring that invoices are submitted to customer portals or emailed to verified email addresses in a timely manner
* Debt collection and managing credit accounts; ensuring that credit limits are applied as appropriate, ceasing credit on overdue accounts until payment is received and commencing legal proceedings, as appropriate.
* Initial assessment of credit account applications
* Processing all returns and credits; ensuring that credit notes are processed within agreed timeframes and debits are deducted from payments as appropriate.
* Banking; ensuring that all monies received are posted to the correct customer accounts.
Ideally, our successful applicant will possess:
* Experience in reconciliation of complex accounts
* Experience working with accounting software programmes
* Experience in debt collection and managing credit accounts
* The ability to manage difficult conversations with customers successfully
* The ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally
* The ability to pay attention to detail through a methodical approach to work
* The ability to use Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
