We currently have a vacancy for a Terminal / Bunker Operator at our Inverness Terminal. We are offering a competitive salary for this Full Time and Permanent post, along with full in-house training for suitable candidate. This role requires shift work with am, pm and nightshift rota over an eight-week period with then 16 days leave. This is on a rota basis and will give up to five 16 days periods off a year. Your primary responsibility as a Terminal / Bunker Operator will be to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the terminal is in order while assisting with discharging ships and bunkering fuel on to ships. You will also receive ships bringing in fuel and ensure that fuel is correctly and safely discharged into storage tanks. This will include working at heights of up to 18 meters high climbing the staircase around the tank to enable you to test and take samples of fuel. You will also require a driving licence as you will drive a pick-up / 4x4 vehicle towing a bunkering trolley around the quayside to load vessels with fuel, this also involves strenuous work as you will be taking the hose from the bunkering trolley to the vessel. As a Terminal / Bunker Operator you will carry out maintenance work within the Terminal, carry out tank dips and other checks as required around the Terminal.
