About The Role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Change & Performance Partner (HR Transformation) to join our growing team in Newcastle. You are joining at an exciting time as Balfour Beatty invests in HR technology and process improvement. We are delivering an ambitious, multi-year HR Transformation Programme to enhance how we operate our key HR activities end-to-end. We are recruiting two Change & Performance roles in our HR Transformation Team. Immediate focus areas in the next 12 months are evolving the end-to-end recruitment ecosystem and tooling – and improving our HR Shared Services process engine to ensure efficiency, compliance and a great experience across the employee lifecycle. You will own the tactical roadmap for technology, process and data improvements and deliver controlled, embedded change that drives systematic performance improvements.

What you'll be doing

* Constantly assess the current state of processes, technology and data flows within your focus area using reliable performance metrics.
* Own the tactical roadmap for improvements – sequencing changes that deliver benefits in time, cost, quality and user experience.
* Deliver change effectively – lead on business requirements and drive post-launch adoption and embedment of system changes through process, data, training and technology enablement. Work closely with HR Systems, IT PMO and business stakeholders throughout UAT, approvals and release activity.
* Embed change – create clear comms and guidance, track adoption and ensure that system, process and data changes stick and deliver the intended performance improvement.
* Improve performance metrics – reduce cycle times, increase data accuracy, deliver cost improvements and improve satisfaction of candidates, employees and managers.
* Champion governance and controls – ensure changes strengthen compliance and audit readiness.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Analytical skills: ability to assess current state, define future needs and identify gaps.
* Technical literacy: comfortable working with an integrated HR technology ecosystem including ATS, CRM, Onboarding, HRIS, Payroll.
* You apply effective data governance to guarantee consistency and integration across our technology landscape.
* Change management expertise: skilled at planning, delivering and embedding change.
* Problem solving & communication: able to simplify complex processes and communicate solutions clearly.
* Stakeholder management: confident working across multiple teams and functions.
* While you will closely partner with HR Systems and IT Delivery throughout the project lifecycle, this role is not accountable for technical solution design, build, testing or release management.

Desirable Skills & Experience

* Experience in an operations environment, focused on outcomes and with clear performance metrics.
* Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement.
* Exposure to governed change processes in enterprise IT/HR settings.
