CP Technician (Cathodic Protection)
Location: Milton Keynes, with travel across the South of the UK.
Position: Permanent.
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 (DOE).
Working hours: Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Conduct cathodic protection surveys, inspections and testing activities across multiple sites.
* Monitor and maintain CP systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to corrosion and CP system performance.
* Interpret survey data and produce accurate technical reports and documentation.
* Update and maintain drawings, maps and system records.
* Use databases, GIS tools and CMMS systems to manage asset information.
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Travel across the South of the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
* Support continuous improvement of corrosion management practices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum ICORR Level 2 Certification (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in cathodic protection or corrosion management within pipelines, terminals or similar high‑hazard environments.
* Strong understanding of cathodic protection principles, survey techniques and associated equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot CP systems and interpret technical data.
* Experience using databases, GIS tools and CMMS systems.
* Ability to prepare and update technical drawings, maps and reports with accuracy.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
