We are supporting the recruitment of an experienced Accounts Manager on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in the South West. The firm provides a comprehensive range of services including statutory accounts preparation, tax compliance and planning, management reporting, and strategic advisory support to a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and private clients across the UK.

Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients, providing a full range of accounting and advisory services
* Prepare and review statutory year-end accounts in accordance with relevant standards
* Review corporation tax and income tax computations and returns
* Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Act as a primary point of contact for client queries and ongoing support
* Deliver business advisory services through client meetings and strategic planning discussions
* Ensure all client deadlines and compliance requirements are met
* Monitor workflow, billing processes, and portfolio administration
* Liaise with senior leadership on technical matters and ad hoc assignments
* Support business development initiatives and promote additional service offerings
* Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the team
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Significant experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
* Demonstrable experience managing a client portfolio
* Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and associated taxation matters
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supervising and supporting junior staff
* Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
