Nutmeg, the UK's leading digital wealth manager and a J.P. Morgan company, is expanding its team with a new Investment writer role. As an Investment writer within the investments division of J.P. Morgan’s Nutmeg business, you will be responsible for translating expert investment insights and analysis into compelling, customer-centric thought leadership and educational investing content. You will bring strong stakeholder and project management skills to drive our investment content pipeline, from ideation through to publication and content measurement.
We are looking for a writer who combines technical brilliance in investing concepts with emotional intelligence and an understanding of consumer behaviour. The right candidate can fluently navigate between the worlds of economist expertise and customer experience design—proactively leading discussions on financial market trends and content effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities
1. Drive the thought leadership agenda by staying informed on financial markets, identifying trends, distilling analysis, and crafting engaging angles for our customers.
2. Partner with the Investment team, researchers, and senior experts to communicate content strategy, coordinate inputs, manage publication timelines, and incorporate feedback.
3. Evaluate the value of insights provided to customers, uphold high standards, and promote customer-centric communication within the Investment Team.
4. Manage the insights pipeline, coordinate deadlines with stakeholders involved in content creation, review, and distribution to ensure schedules are met.
5. Collaborate with diverse teams such as PR, brand, legal, and risk to facilitate progress and influence content direction.
6. Advocate for the importance of shareable, high-quality content across teams.
7. Handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
8. Maintain and adhere to writing guidelines aligned with our brand voice.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in investments, asset management, or financial advice. Transitioning from roles like investment analyst is also acceptable.
* Demonstrable knowledge of investments and complex financial instruments, with a keen understanding of financial markets and trends across macro, asset class, sector, and geography.
* Ability to simplify complex investing concepts and make them relevant to consumers.
* Journalistic mindset—interrogative, confident, and creative—capable of conducting interviews with senior experts to uncover key insights.
* Exceptional organization, effective communication, and strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience scripting for video and podcasts.
* Ability to create and refine comprehensive content briefs for experts and designers.
* High standards for content quality, blending technical accuracy with storytelling and systems thinking.
* Comfort in switching between strategic planning and hands-on writing/editing, with a focus on content performance and customer experience improvement.
* Data literacy—interpreting reports, charts, and tables, and making investing information accessible.
* Experience collaborating with design, marketing, brand, and product teams to maintain consistent voice across communications.
* Understanding of SEO and digital content best practices.
