Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated EHS Advisor to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide operational Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) responsibility across all Watson-Marlow Ltd. sites in Falmouth and Redruth; be hands-on on shop floors, warehouses and offices.
* Act as an ambassador and custodian of our safety culture, with Safety as the main priority and our Number 1 Value.
* Deliver EHS support and guidance across the business with a focus on continuous improvement and statutory compliance.
* Utilise the EcoOnline EHS management system to monitor events, take action to resolve them, and ensure proper closeout.
* Review incidents to identify corrective and preventive actions for future learning.
* Raise awareness of and promote corporate EHS culture and objectives across all departments.
* Maintain knowledge of current legislative, statutory and sector EHS requirements; participate in Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) principles.
* Collect, interpret and report EHS statistics for reporting purposes; be data driven.
* Work with Group EHS to ensure policies are up to date and followed.
* Support the EHS Manager and, where requested, lead incident investigations.
* Assist departmental management in developing and reviewing EHS documentation to ensure it is fit for purpose and up to date with current legislation.
* Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness courses in collaboration with HR or independently; deliver Safety Handover Briefings, Toolbox Talks and Safety Moments.
* Support internal and external EHS audit activities and monitor closeout of non-conformances.
* Provide expert advice on Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.
* Collaborate with Facilities on site safety matters and on-site infrastructure projects.
* Undertake active occupational monitoring such as noise, vibration and COSHH assessments.
* Work with the Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to support environmental objectives and targets.


Skills and Experience

* Some previous experience as an EHS Advisor, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* Current EHS qualification or certification such as NEBOSH General Certificate; Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards, or equivalent.
* Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 regulations.
* Exceptional communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with people at all levels.
* Ability to provide current and reliable guidance to site-based teams, including senior and line management.
* Awareness of Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigation procedures.
* Ability to challenge poor practice and unsafe actions in line with Company Values.
* Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher) at intermediate/advanced level.
