We do this with our revolutionary cleaning and hygiene technologies - such as floor care machines, cleaning tools & utensils, and chemicals for Food & Beverage industry.We’re excited to be recruiting a hands-on, driven **EHS Specialist** to help protect our people, our plant and our environment within a regulated chemical manufacturing site.Reporting to the EHSS Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading compliance, strengthening our safety culture and driving continuous improvement across EHS and Process Safety Management. This is a highly visible position with genuine influence across operations, engineering and site leadership.**What You’ll Do**You’ll ensure full compliance with **COMAH**, environmental permitting and corporate standards, acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and leading site governance activities.**Key responsibilities include:*** Leading regulatory compliance, reporting and Responsible Care requirements* Managing environmental permitting, waste compliance and sustainability initiatives* Conducting risk and COSHH assessments and deploying effective mitigation plans* Owning accident prevention programmes and emergency response readiness* Leading incident investigations and delivering robust corrective actions (CAPA)* Supporting and auditing ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems* Acting as SME for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC)* Analysing EHS data to drive performance and continuous improvement* Delivering training and positively influencing behavioural safety across siteThis is a collaborative, site-based role requiring daily engagement with operations, engineering and leadership teams.**About You*** Proven EHS experience within chemical manufacturing, ideally COMAH-regulated* Strong knowledge of UK safety and environmental legislation* Experience in risk assessment, COSHH, incident investigation and root cause analysis* Exposure to environmental permitting, waste management and/or process safety (desirable)* Experience auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems* Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong risk-based decision-making skills* Confident communicator able to influence and drive behavioural change* IT literate (MS Office; SAP knowledge advantageous)At Diversey, we foster a culture built on diversity, inclusion, well-being, flexibility, and respect.
