Keyfix, part of the Keystone Group of companies, specializes in the development of non-combustible masonry accessories, providing complete non-combustible cavity solutions for external masonry facades in projects over 18m+.
The Technical Engineer will ensure the Keyfix team produces commercially and technically accurate quotations, communicating and collaborating effectively to ensure correct mark-ups are made according to customer project requirements. You will adopt good practices when specifying Keyfix products and aim to exceed customer expectations by providing prompt responses to queries, implementing feedback, and meeting site delivery deadlines.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be a key member of our core team.
This role will champion continuous improvement and drive the development of existing and new growth opportunities, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving commercial targets.
Location: Cookstown
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.45am-5.00pm and Friday 8.45am-3.30pm — On site
Occasional travel within NI, GB & ROI will be required to develop relationships, solve technical issues, or facilitate site installations.
Technical Service:
* Generate consistent quotations and manage amendments in line with internal preconstruction requirements or customer requests for high-rise projects.
* Produce detailed, accurate, and easy-to-read production drawings that provide efficient designs within building requirements.
* Offer technical support to engineers, designing non-standard products that balance best practices with cost-effectiveness, understanding our production capabilities and competitor solutions.
Commercial Service:
* Engage directly with customers via telephone to provide technical assurance and expertise, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate with the production team to arrange orders and call-offs aligned with customer schedules.
* Facilitate and present CPDs as needed, either via Teams or in person.
* Maintain the primary point of contact from initial order to follow-up, liaising with other brands on project details.
Technical Expertise Support:
Be approachable to all internal and external customers requiring support, recognizing that some may need additional assistance.
* Provide outstanding customer service, embodying the Keystone “go through the wall” attitude.
* Work with the Contract Sales team to ensure real-time information on delivery schedules and productivity targets.
* Accurately record lead information in the designated format.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced construction environment in a similar role.
* Knowledge of construction details and on-site practices.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in customer-facing, negotiation roles.
* Target-driven, tenacious, and ambitious.
