About the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon
Step into a world of elegance at our Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, where we celebrate the art of Afternoon and High Tea. Opened by the Queen in 2012 to honor her Diamond Jubilee, our salon offers a delightful selection of teas, fluffy scones, and delectable sandwiches, available seven days a week for all your special occasions. We also host private dining events, from charity balls to birthday parties, making every gathering unforgettable.
Your Role
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our talented team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to expand their skills in Afternoon Tea, Events, and Private Dining.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Senior Team to deliver exceptional food quality in your section.
* Coach and develop CDPs and Commis Chefs, leading by example to enhance their skills.
* Regularly check section standards, ensuring all audits and temperature checks are completed.
* Take ownership of stocktaking and provide key feedback to the Head Chef.
* Anticipate potential kitchen pinch points and communicate them to your line manager.
* Assist Senior Chefs in producing monthly kitchen reports.
* Work closely with the Restaurant team to foster a collaborative front and back of house partnership.
* Communicate effectively to keep teams informed about the menu.
* Exhibit strong planning, organizing, and time management skills to drive operational excellence.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, cleanliness, and health & safety standards.
* Monitor and maintain inventory, highlighting any issues to Senior Chefs.
