New Directions Education is delighted to be recruiting a talented and passionate Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join a vibrant, outstanding secondary school in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher (or an ambitious NQT) to teach both Psychology and Sociology up to KS5, inspiring the next generation of thinkers and helping students develop a deep understanding of human behaviour and society.

The Role:
• Teach Psychology and Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to explore and engage with the complexities of human behaviour, social structures, and cultural dynamics.
• Deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
• Foster a classroom environment where critical thinking, debate, and independent learning are encouraged.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help them succeed in both GCSE and A-Level examinations.
The Ideal Candidate:
• A qualified teacher (QTS) with a strong background in teaching Psychology and Sociology at Key Stage 4 and 5.
• A passion for these subjects and a genuine desire to inspire students to think critically about the world around them.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that challenge students to reach their potential.
• A recent teaching reference within the last 5 years
• A DBS check is required (or willingness to undergo one).
