Join to apply for the CTAC Healthcare Support Worker role at NHS Borders.
Two fixed term contracts are available until 31 March 2026: one at 15 hours per week (CTAC South) and one at 10 hours per week (CTAC East). We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join our CTAC team.
Responsibilities
* Support our registered nurses and gain experience in care areas such as phlebotomy, recording vital signs, urinalysis, ECGs and wound management.
* Deliver person-centred care with good communication; work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
* Use IT systems as required.
* Ability to travel occasionally; access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license is essential.
* Maintain family-friendly hours spread across the week, Monday – Friday.
Qualifications and requirements
* Good communication skills and a genuine ability to work with people.
* Experience is preferable but full training will be provided.
* Ability to use IT systems.
* Access to a vehicle and a full driving license is essential for occasional travel.
* Eligibility to work in the UK; pre-employment checks will be conducted and PVG checks may be required where applicable. Sponsorship possibilities may be considered in line with policy.

* Salary for part-time posts is pro rata.
