An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rolls-Royce Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) as Planning & Control Manager. The ABCF manufactures Turbine blade castings and is set for an exciting period of growth due to demand for our products increasing. We are looking for a Planning & Control manager to be a pivotal part of that business expansion. This role is a key leadership position within the Plant as part of a high-performing, cross functional team.

What you will be doing
As a Planning & Control Manager you will be leading Planning & Control activities across the Manufacturing Plant to ensure that delivery performance expectations are achieved, inventory is optimised, and the business complies with material control policies. You will lead the Planning & Control team to maximise value to the business, develop their competency and drive process excellence. Apply a Lean mindset to both Planning & Control processes and Manufacturing Planning to reduce waste and optimise delivery to customer from available resources.
Responsibilities:
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
* Deliver Performance - Utilising the R-R Production System, lead the P&C team to ensure that performance is understood with action plans to close gaps. Key metrics include on-time in full (OTIF), Arrears, Inventory, ERP Compliance and Customer KPIs.
* Manage the Plant response to Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning process (SIOP) - Utilise rough cut planning techniques to provide indicative responses and a full load vs. capacity plan to support Customer and Business Financial plans.
* Lead Plant planning & scheduling activity – own the 4-weekly Manufacturing Planning process to create a cohesive set of balanced plans. Ensure the agreed Production schedule is maintained in our Executive system (SAP) and deployed throughout the Manufacturing Plant.
* Deliver the future Rate readiness plan – play a critical part in ensuring the Plant has a plan for future Production volumes and executes flawlessly.
* Accountable for inventory budget and forecast - Ensure that Inventory and Slow-Moving WIP plans are delivered and reflect year-on-year improvement in stock turns.
* Manage Planning & Control related change for the Plant commodities - Provide input into the commodity strategy and make/buy decisions, helping shape the 'blueprint' for our supply chain.
* Develop, manage and control logistics processes - Responsible for adherence to Logistics budget, compliance to standards and managing Logistics Partners’ local operational relationship.
* Develop, coach and lead the P&C team members - Manage a team of P&C staff, balancing resources across team accountabilities. Ensure the correct Functional & Behavioural competencies are in place with training plans to close gaps.
