At Ocado Logistics, were looking for an Operations Manager to lead our site-based teams, directly influencing our bottom-line performance and ensuring an exceptional experience for our employees and customers. This is a crucial role where you will lead and motivate your teams to drive excellence in everything we do, embodying our 5 Pillars: Safety, People, Customer, Delivery, and Cost. You will be accountable for the site and its compliance, using your expertise to successfully operate and optimise Ocados platforms. What You Will Be Doing Safety & Compliance: A primary responsibility is to lead and manage a positive Health and Safety culture across the site. You will be accountable for ensuring the site meets all Ocado and legislative requirements. Lead and motivate the Zoom Site teams within a time-sensitive and demanding operational environment. A key focus will be shaping a world-class employee experience, managing people KPIs such as labour turnover and absence rates, and fostering a culture of respect and engagement. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our customer experience and operational productivity. This includes effectively planning resources, preparing and justifying budgets, and analysing performance to deliver the highest standards. What We Are Looking For We are seeking a strong people manager with proven experience in a compliance & KPI-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate clear accountability for site operations, particularly in relation to safety and compliance. While a logistics background is helpful, your transferable skills in leadership and performance management are most important. Essential Skills: Proven experience managing site compliance (e.g., Health & Safety) and demonstrating accountability for site performance and legislative adherence. Significant experience in people management, including coaching and team development at a management level. The ability to lead and motivate teams, foster engagement, and drive a positive culture. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and setting targets. A proven track record of working in a KPI-driven environment, with strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills. Resilience, self-motivation, and the drive to deliver results. Desirable, but not essential: A background in distribution, fleet, or logistics management. Presentation skills Proficient with Google suites MSOffice suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) An IOSH managing safely qualification (or equivalent).
